Breast ptosis is inevitable phenomenon as we age. Genetic factors, initial breast volume, fluctuation in body weight, pregnancy and breast feeding are the most common causes. Plastic surgery is offering an effective solution to this problem by lifting the breast tissue and reducing the skin envelope. Our preference is the short scar vertical mastopexy because of the minimal scaring and the safety of the mammary gland. In case of inadequate breast volume, a breast implant can be used.
